How does Belissima work?
PLLA (poly-L-lactic acid), which is the main ingredient of Belissima, is a biocompatible and completely biodegradable polymer that has been used for sutures and other medical devices. Injected PLLA stimulates collagen production, gradually restoring volume, firmness and a youthful appearance.
What will happen after applying Belissima?
Within a few days, after water absorption, only the Belissima PLLA particles remain. New cells accumulate around the PLLA and the growing fibroblasts. The increased number of fibroblasts stimulates collagen generation and improves the appearance of the skin. The generated collagen lasts for 2 years and the Bellissima particles are biodegradable. Depending on the skin condition, 2 to 3 treatments are recommended every 12-15 weeks to prolong the durability of the volume.
